In the seventh year of my marriage to Adrian, the richest man in the country, a video of Adrian getting intimate with his first love, Yvette Briggs, was posted online.

Adrian couldn't bear seeing Yvette attacked by all those rumors. So, though I was pregnant at the time, he insisted on divorcing me to clear her name and give the child she was carrying a complete family.

In my previous life, I cried and argued, but in the end I was kicked out in disgrace, left to die alone and broken on the streets.

This time around, I signed the divorce papers, took half of Adrian's wealth, and marched straight to the hospital for an abortion, feeling nothing but release.

Adrian still thought I was hopelessly obsessed with him, that I'd cling to his child and sit around after the divorce, waiting for him to come crawling back like some lovesick idiot.

Just so Yvette's baby could have his undivided love, he actually went through with a vasectomy at the hospital.

When Adrian finally learned the real story, he totally lost it.

Adrian said, "Larissa, Yvette's just too pure and can't handle all the drama. If I don't protect her, she'll keep getting hurt by those rumors.

"So I have to divorce you and marry her right now. But don't worry. Once she's had the baby and moved past all this, we'll get back together,"

Since I had experienced this in my previous life and time-traveled to this moment, I raised my hand and slapped Adrian.

The sight of Adrian's facenow decades younger and just as flawlessmade my hatred surge.

The smack echoed in the room, my palm left stinging, and Adrian's face whipped to the side.

He stared at me, stunned and furious. "Larissa, are you insane? Did you really just hit me?"

Yvette stood beside him, cradling her big baby bump, sniffling as she wiped away her tears.

"Larissa, I know it's kind of harsh to ask you to divorce Adrian, but didn't you kick off all this drama yourself?" she sobbed.

Yvette was bawling her eyes out, making herself look like the innocent victim in front of everyone.

She cried, "If it wasn't for your jealous outburst and those dumb fake photos you made to set me and Adrian up, I wouldn't be stuck in this nightmare.

"I'm begging you, Larissa. For the sake of my reputation and my baby, please. I'll even get down on my knees if that's what it takes."

The moment Yvette finished speaking, Adrian pulled her straight into his arms, holding her close like she was the only thing that mattered.

Yvette's accusation made Adrian look at me with utter disgust.

He shouted at me, "Larissa, you started all this. You blew it all up, and now Yvette's being trashed and ridiculed by everyone. Ever think about the consequences of your actions?

" I'm only doing this to clean up your mess. Get one thing straight. You're signing those divorce papers today, whether you want to or not."

As I listened to Adrian's cold, commanding tone, and saw the contempt in his eyes, a flood of memories from my previous life threatened to drown me.

Everything I'd suffered before flashed through my mind.

Just like last time, that video of Yvette and Adrian all over each other blew up online. Yvette went ballistic, pointing the finger at me for everything, swearing I was the evil mastermind behind her misery.

Adrian totally bought her story. He was so caught up on Yvette, couldn't bear her suffering even the tiniest bit, and would never let anyone lay a finger on her.

So, to make things right for Yvette, Adrian decided the only solution was to toss me aside and marry her instead.

In my previous life, I was head over heels for Adrian and had just found out I was pregnant.

I'd been wishing for a baby for seven years, and there was no way I was letting my child go through pregnancy without having their father around the whole time.

I broke the news of my pregnancy to Adrian and flat-out refused to divorce him.

I thought that after seven years together and me carrying his baby, Adrian would definitely give up on marrying Yvette.

I completely misjudged how obsessed Adrian was with protecting Yvette and just how little I or our baby actually mattered to him.

Because I refused to get divorced, Adrian had no way to give Yvette the happy ending she wanted.

Since he loved someone else, he'd stop at nothing to get what he wanted, even if it meant being downright cold-blooded.

Adrian went full-on ruthless, scheming, and backstabbing me with the most underhanded moves, just to force me into a divorce.

Just when I finally learned I was pregnant with twins at four months, out of nowhere, the internet blew up with stories about me supposedly keeping a sugar baby on the side.

Phony videos, doctored photos, and fake chat logs went totally viral overnight.

Adrian went along with those bogus accusations, insisting I'd cheated on him and that the babies weren't even his, then slapped me with divorce papers.

He hired the fiercest divorce attorney money could buy, dragged my name through the mud, and kicked me out with nothing.

I always thought it was just someone scheming against me, trying to set me up.

I put up with endless gossip and judgmental stares, and still gave birth to Adrian's child.

I thought once the baby was born, a paternity test would prove I was innocent, but Adrian just kept dodging me.

He went abroad with Yvette to give birth to their child, bought a luxury mansion for her and her kid, and spent every day with them, playing happy family like I never existed.

It wasn't until my two kids turned one that Adrian and Yvette finally came back from abroad.

I took the kids to find Adrian, hoping he'd finally acknowledge them as his own.

But as I was about to confront Adrian, I accidentally overheard him and Yvette talking, my heart pounding as I hid around the corner.

It turned out that Adrian was the mastermind behind it all. He'd gone completely crazy over Yvette and schemed against me.

I was so stunned and couldn't believe what I had just heard. I missed a step from the top of the stairs. Before I knew it, I was falling. By the time I hit the ground, I was already gone.

Just thinking about how those two manipulated me in my previous life made me want to tear Adrian apart.

Seeing me stay silent, Adrian's patience was shot.

He said, "Larissa, because we were once married, I've already given you your chance. If you refuse, then don't blame me for what comes next."

Adrian's gaze was icy cold, and every word dripped with chilling threat.

After everything, there was no way I'd ever grovel or depend on him again.

I grabbed the divorce agreement, flipped through it, and said, "I'll sign, but I want sixty percent of everything we own together. You'll need to change those terms."

Adrian couldn't hide his shock when I agreed to split and demanded that much.

Adrian stared at me. "What do you need so much money for?"

I said, "For my own security, of course. I have been married to you for seven years and helped build everything we have. There's no way I'm leaving empty-handed."

Adrian was deep in thought, but Yvette was losing her patience fast.

"The company belongs to Adrian. You didn't do anything. What makes you think you deserve such a big cut?" Yvette scoffed.

I replied with a cold laugh, "Because I'm his wife.

"I was with Adrian for the past seven years. I'm his rightful wife, and I've got every right to my share of our marital assets."

Yvette clearly hated the idea of me walking away with so much, but Adrian put his foot down for Yvette.

Adrian said, "Fine, sixty percent, just like you want. But hear me, Larissaonce you sign, there's no turning back. If you try to pull anything slick, don't expect any kindness from me."

He probably figured I was just playing games, so he leaned hard into his threat, making sure I got the message.

But when I signed the revised divorce agreement without even blinking, Adrian's face darkened.

I didn't hang onto him or make a tragic scene like I did in my previous life. That just made Adrian even more annoyed.

On the way to the courthouse, Adrian looked like someone had just stolen his fortune.

Even Yvette, the woman he adored, couldn't get more than a grunt out of him.

I didn't even bother with his attitude. I was about to cut ties with this jerk and start over. Honestly, I was buzzing with excitement.

Adrian was obscenely wealthy. After the divorce, I'd be rolling in billions.

I was seriously dumb in my previous life. With that kind of cash, I could've had any pretty boy I wanted.

There was no need to pour my heart out for this miserable jerk.

I was already plotting my post-divorce game plan. First, I was going to terminate this pregnancy.

Since I was finally cutting Adrian out of my life for good, there was no way I could be associated with him.

Once the divorce papers were in my hand and I recovered from the abortion, I would move on to another man. I heard Karchenina men were the symbols of romance.

I wanted to head to Karchen, hunt down some tall, hot, young eye candy, and let myself soak up all that charm everyone raved about.

I was all smiles inside, already daydreaming about my new life and all the fun waiting for me. The second we stepped into City Hall, I snatched the paperwork and scribbled my name.
